IGES expands PDA capabilities

IGES, Inc. has upgrades its PDA capabilities by adding a second wireless PAX unit. The wireless (radio transmitters) data collection not only adds additional safety to PDA by allowing installation of gages generally without the need to climb leads, the new PAX unit supports ICAP software permitting a refined CAPWAP analysis to be performed in real time during actual data collection. IGES has been selected by Pile Dynamics, Inc. (PDI) to beta test the next generation ICAP software. Additionally, IGES has added field CAPWAP capability by wirelessly transmitting PDA data to mini notebooks and performing data analysis on site. This added capability allows preliminary CAPWAP capacity results to be emailed in PDF form to our clients before leaving a test site location, literally less than an hour of completing PDA testing.
